Description
Dynomutt, Dog Wonder The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt Publicity Cel plus Falconcar Color Model Cel Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1976). This Alex Toth-designed Saturday morning animated series was a hybrid superhero action/adventure plus comedy, with bumbling robotic dog Dynomutt supplying the laughs. Here is a great hand-painted 14" x 10.25" field publicity cel of the Batman-like Blue Falcon dressed in cape, cowl, and skin-tight outfit with his masked dog in his green cape and boots. Their combined image size is approximately 6.25" x 6.75"; the cel is placed on a print background for presentation purposes. Also included is a terrific hand-painted 12 field 3-peghole color model cel of the Falconcar, with three of the six images fully painted. This slick-looking speedster model cel is taken from Alex Toth's design drawings and is titled "Radley Crown's Car" (millionaire art dealer Radley Crown is the Blue Falcon). The cel is dated 6/17/76 in the upper right. The show premiered on September 11 1976 with sixteen episode shown as part of The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour on ABC-TV; for Season 2, this segment returned with four new episodes as a stand-alone series retitled The Blue Falcon & Dynomutt, with the last new episode shown on 10/1/1977. The cels are in Very Good to Fine condition with light handling wear.Auction Info
