Dudley Do-Right Scene Cel Signed by Jay Ward (Jay Ward Studios, c. 1970s). Dudley Do-Right premiered on television on 9/61 as part of the The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. With production done in Mexico, and production cels being thrown away, Scene Cels were created. These hand-painted cels were sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium located on 8200 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. It had a large statue of Bullwinkle holding Rocky in front of the building. The statue was recently renovated and is supposed to be installed on the traffic island at Sunset and Holloway. The Emporium was connected to Jay Ward Studios from 1971 - 2005. This is where the hand-inked, hand-painted Scene Cels were sold. This is an Emporium Scene Cel of Dudley Do-Right, Nell, and Horse. These Scene Cels were sold unsigned, but if you asked if Jay Ward was in, and asked him to sign one... he would! This Dudley Do-Right Scene Cel is hand-signed by Jay Ward (1920 - 1989). Great image sizes of 5" - 6". The cel is in a frame of 18" x 16" under glass with a mat opening of 10" x 9". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good. From the Forbes Collection.
