A picture-perfect image featuring the various Super Saiyans of Dragon Ball Z, this is an unbelievably rare one-of-a-kind publicity cel (or hanken) created for an official Dragon Ball Z jigsaw puzzle. Featuring Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, Gotenks, Vegeta, Vegito, and Goku in Super Saiyan forms 1, 2, and 3. This stellar image is a must-have for any fan of the wildly popular and influential Dragon Ball. Universally celebrated, Dragon Ball Z is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, and the series is still the primary inspiration for countless shonen stories that have followed it. This dynamic and expressive piece from the cultural phenomenon is attributed to the late Toei Animation promotional artist Junya Furusawa, well known for his kinetic group shots featuring the large cast of Dragon Ball characters. The artist became famous for his Dragon Ball doujinshi comics that emulated Akira Toriyama's style very closely. Due to the quality of his work, Toei eventually hired him as an official Dragon Ball publicity artist. This hand-inked and hand-painted cel measures a substantial 13.5" x 17.75", with an image area of 11.25" x 16". A photo of the final jigsaw puzzle product is included in this lot. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear with a hand-drawn star in the upper right corner and tape at the top edge. The condition of this spectacular piece is Very Good.
