Dick Dastardly and Muttley Publicity Cel on Painted Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s/80s). In 1968 Paul Winchell and Don Messick introduced villains Dick Dastardly and Muttley to the world in Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Racers. They returned in the Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines series. Here are two full figure images measuring 3" and 4" tall of this hard-to-find duo. It's an incredible hand-inked, hand-painted Publicity/Color Model cel on a 12 field, hand-painted production background from the 1973 cartoon series Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids. The cel and background work beautifully together. This cel was painted by the Hanna-Barbera Ink and Paint Department either for publicity purposes or for consumer product use in children's books, calendars, clothing design, toys, etc. Dick Dastardly and Muttley are two of Hanna-Barbera's greatest villains. Condition is Fine.
