Description
Boris and Natasha Scene Cel Signed by Jay Ward (Jay Ward, c. 1980s). Rocky and Bullwinkle are constantly having to deal with these two spies from Pottsylvania, Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale, as seen in an original hand-inked and hand-painted Scene Cel. Boris and Natasha are forever trying to wipe out "Moose and Squirrel" using impossibly easy to see through disguises that always works with our heroes ("Where have I heard that voice before?" is Rocky's reaction to their vaguely Russian-sounding accents). Boris and his stick of TNT have an approximate image size of 3.75" x 4" while Natasha measures 3" x 7.75". The background is a sheet of orange paper. Original production cels from Rocky and Bullwinkle were routinely washed and reused, with only a very few examples still in existence; these Scene Cels were originally sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium in Hollywood from 1971 to 2005. Whenever Jay Ward (1920 - 1989) was in the shop, he would hand-sign cels for customers, and his signature can be found right below Boris on this cel. The cel's condition is Very Good with minor handling wearMore information about Jay Ward Studios. See also: Ward Studios Artist.
