Aladdin Jasmine and Jafar Presentation Cel and Master Production Background (Walt Disney, 1992). This Ron Clements and John Musker-directed Disney feature was released in the fall of 1992 and was the highest grossing movie that year. Robin Williams gave a tour de force performance as the voice for the Genie in this film which ultimately spawned two direct-to-video sequels, a television series, and a touring Broadway play. There were no cels used in this production, so hand-painted presentation cels were made from production drawings at the Disney Ink and Paint Department located on the studio lot. These were placed over production backgrounds and sold at auction in New York City on October 9, 1993. This is lot #215 in that sale and shows Jasmine and Jafar who measure 7" and 11" respectively. The cel, which bears a Disney seal, is over the original 12.5" x 17" production background from this scene. This is the closest thing you can get to a Key Master setup from Aladdin. The setup is in a 28" x 23" frame with a mat opening of 15" x 11" and a COA affixed to the back. Condition is Very Good and frame is sold as-is
