Walt Disney: The Art of Animation by Bob Thomas, Signed by Disney and Others (Walt Disney, 1958). First edition with dust jacket, published by Sandpiper Press in conjunction with the opening of Sleeping Beauty, boldly signed by Walt Disney on the first page as well as by a virtual who's who of 13 Disney animators: Walt's brother Roy Disney (on the table of contents); Ub Iwerks on page 126 on the multi-plane camera page; and Jack Hannah, Bob Broughton, Emil Bianchi, Bill Justice, Al Bertino, Art Cruickshank, Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Ward Kimball (twice!), and Jack Boyd by their respective photos. What a rare treat to have in one book! The book is inscribed to studio employee Virginia (also called Ginny in some of the inscriptions). Walt's autograph is consistent with his 1950s/60s cursive signatures. In Fine condition with minor handling and slight edge wear.Auction Info
