Tokyo Disneyland Park Entrance Poster "Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour" Fantasyland AP #4/60, and Personal Memo with Momentos (Walt Disney, 1986). A group lot that is as fun as it is rare! This gorgeous medieval style poster was designed by John Dury and Greg Paul. It asks "Can you conquer the evil forces of the Disney Villains?" It can be seen on page 84 in the Poster Art of Disney Parks book by Daniel Handke and Vanessa Hunt (Disney Press, 2012). The image area is 30" x 45" on the hand-pulled silk screened poster (33" x 47" uncut). Walt Disney Imagineering is printed on the bottom margin. This print is numbered AP4/60 in the trim margin, indicating that it is possibly an early proof copy. But wait... there's more! As a bonus... the poster comes with a personal memo on Walt Disney Imagineering stationery from Paul Komer (Project Manager), and Val Usle (Assistant Project Manager) that is dated 7/30/86. This memo was sent to Tee O'Neill, thanking him for his support and participation in creating this park attraction. The memo goes on to say they have included a medallion, and pin (both included in this group) as gifts. Included are a 3.25" "World Premier" pinback button dated 7/11/86, and a metal "Hero" medallion on a ribbon that patrons won upon slaying the Horned King. It is also dated 1986 (in Roman numerals). A smaller ribbon is clipped to the memo as well. This is a fun group and a bit of Tokyo Disneyland history! There is minor handling and wear in the poster, otherwise in Fine condition.
