Mary Blair - Disney World Contemporary Resort Mural Signed Hand-Pulled Serigraph Print (Walt Disney, 1971). The 3rd (and last) of Mary Blair's large scale murals was on the 90' elevator shafts at the Contemporary Resort in Disney World. This is a very rare hand-pulled serigraph of one of the paintings originally used for a character study for that mural. This image can be seen on page 97 of John Canemaker's book The Art and Flair of Mary Blair, as well as on page 170 in his other book, Magic, Color, Flair - The World of Mary Blair. The 30" x 20" matted piece is actually signed by Mary Blair, which is very rare, in the bottom right image area. It is personalized "To Retta" and was gifted to Retta Scott, who remained friends with Blair after they both left Disney. The beautiful and striking image features characters between 17" to 13" tall. There is a bit of brown paint smudge that happened when it was produced. It bears a "© Walt Disney Productions" screen printed on the image. Overall in Fine condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
