Bambi "A Special Look" Limited Edition Lithograph Print #88/500 (Walt Disney, 1990). Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, both Disney Legend Inductees and two members of Walt Disney's original "Nine Old Men," wrote a book entitled Walt Disney's Bambi - The Story and the Film. To promote this book, they did a global tour at art galleries and created new original artwork of Bambi and his friends to sell on their book campaign. These Fine Art lithographs sold out quickly. This lot is a hard-to-find Fine Art lithograph titled "A Special Look." It features a young Bambi and the possum family, created from original artwork drawn from the hand of Ollie Johnston. This beautiful piece was printed on Ungei heavy paper and bears the chop mark of American Atelier. The piece was printed at The American Atelier in New York, under the supervision of the artist, and is hand-signed by Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008). The artwork is in a Plexiglas-front frame measuring 20" x 17" with a mat opening of 12" x 9". Bambi is a nice image measuring 5". Adorable artwork! This is from Suite 1 of the series.
