"Mickey at 60" Mickey Mouse Limited Edition Lithograph #202/4200 (Walt Disney, 1988). John Hench worked at Disney for 65 years. He was inducted as a Disney Legend in 1990. He worked in every single facet of the Walt Disney Company in his 65 years -- in animation, television, and theme parks. He was the "Official Portrait Artist" of Mickey Mouse, and had designed the official Mickey Mouse portrait for his 25th and 50th birthdays. This is a limited edition Fine Art lithograph that he did for Mickey's 60th birthday in 1988. It showcases Mickey with a globe, with a flag on France, indicating plans for a theme park there in the near future. This piece was an edition of 4200 and this was #202. It was sold in-house to employees as well as Disneyland Galleries in the Park. The lithograph measures 32" x 24". Mickey is a stunning 20" tall. All of Mickey's greatest hits are framed on the wall behind him in this piece. The Fine Art lithograph was created from the John Hench original. Mr. Hench (1908 - 2004) has signed the piece in the bottom right corner. Original COA is included with the piece. Minor handling and edge wear. Fine condition. From the Skip Lange Collection.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
