Description

Porky in Egypt Porky Pig Animation Drawings (Warner Brothers, 1938). In this lot we have three fantastic animation drawings of Porky Pig from the cartoon short, Porky in Egypt. In the short, directed by Bob Clampett, Porky is a tourist in Egypt. He's missed the main camel, so he rents one of his own. Both of them are soon overcome by the hot desert sun; the camel starts hallucinating, and marches off, playing the bagpipes. Porky sees the camel swimming in a pool, but it turns out to be a mirage. The camel eventually recovers enough to bring both of them back to town, where Porky goes mad. The three drawings in this lot are together in one frame of 34" x 19" under Plexiglas with three round mat openings of 5" each. Screen grab copies are also matted in the frame for presentation purposes. Frame sold as-is. The artwork was rendered in graphite on animation paper. This is an outstanding piece of animation art, not to be missed by fans of the stuttering swine! Condition is Very Good.
