DescriptionPopeye the Sailor-All's Fair at the Fair Bluto Model Concept Art (Famous Studios, 1947).
Popeyes nemesis and arch-rival for the love of Olive Oy was Bluto aka Brutus. After the theatrical Popeye cartoon series ceased production in 1957, Blutos name was changed to Brutus. From the 1947 Popeye episode titled, All's Fair at the Fair, we have a very rare, one-of-a-kind piece of vintage animation art. The piece is a model sheet used to show the costume that Bluto will wear in the show. You can first see this costume at the 1:07 mark in the cartoon. This is a great opportunity to acquire a piece of vintage animation art that is over 70 years old! The model sheet was rendered in graphite on 14" x 11" drawing paper. The artwork is in a 20.5" x 17.5" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 13.25" x 10". The frame is sold as-is. The piece has a crease in the middle of the page with some wrinkling, otherwise, condition is Good.
