Popeye and Olive Oyl "A Day at the Links" Signed Limited Edition Cel, 186/200 (Fleischer/King Features Syndicate, 1998). Throughout 90s, King Features released a series of hand-inked, hand painted limited edition cels featuring the Popeye cast. These were then signed by legendary Fleischer Studios animator Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006). This cel is titled "A Day at the Links" and features Popeye having a little trouble hitting the golf fact, looks like he's actually dug his own sand trap! A concerned Olive Oyl rushes to his aid, an open can a spinach in her hands. The cel is unusual in that both Popeye and the area of dirt he's dug up both appear on the cel - rather than simply having the dirt mound remain a part of the background painting. Popeye himself is 3" tall. Olive measures 4". Fleischer Studios seal is affixed to bottom left corner, next to "186/200" edition number. King Features seal is in bottom right corner, next to Mr. Waldman's signature. COA included. Cel has been placed over a print background for display purposes. In Fine condition.
