Pluto's White Elephant Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, c. 1948). This unreleased short made it as far as having a rough reel shown at the studio, but was ultimately left unfinished. Based on these charming images of Pluto -- at first hesitant, and then happily leading Bobo the elephant by his tail -- we believe this cartoon would have been a winner. These are original 12 field 3-peghole drawings, nicely rendered in graphite and numbered 19 (overall image size 9.25" x 4.25"), 43C (7.25" x 3.25"), and 47C (7.5" x 3.25"). We simply love Bobo's expression in the second drawing! Apparently this was the Disney Studio's final attempt to bring back Bobo, the star of the 1936 short, Mickey's Elephant, which also featured Pluto. Other than a slight bit of edge wear, and some very light handling, the art is in Fine condition.
