Description

Pluto's Dream House Production Pan Background (Walt Disney, 1940). Pluto's new doghouse is built with the help of an invisible genie in a lamp the pup dug up in Mickey Mouse's yard! This short was directed by Clyde Geronimi, from a script by Frank Tashlin and Samuel Armstrong, and released to theaters on 8/30/1940. Here's a fantastic piece of art from the short, a pan production background that is first seen at the :42 mark, and several times after that. The colors are a bit faded, but that adds an air of gentle nostalgia to the painting, which is in graphite and watercolor on heavy paper measuring approximately 17" x 9.5". The image area measures 16.5" x 8.5". There are several studio stamps and notations on the backside. Staple holes in the upper and lower borders, with minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
