    Description

Playful Pluto Mickey Mouse Animation Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). An early background layout drawing from the Mickey Mouse short, Playful Pluto. Directed by Bert Gillett and Produced by Walt Disney, the short was released on 3/3/34. In the short, Pluto pesters Mickey while he's trying to do his chores. Somehow Pluto ends up swallowing a flashlight and getting flypaper stuck to his rear-end, nose and paws before Mickey can save him from himself. This was the first cartoon in which Pluto was developed as major character. This layout was rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The piece has been professionally restored using archival quality materials to Fine condition.
