Pinocchio Storybook Illustrations by Campbell Grant Original Art Group of 5 (Walt Disney/Simon & Shuster, 1948). Walt Disney's classic second animated feature film Pinocchio remains a fan-favorite today; it inspired a number of illustrated storybooks over the years. Here's a set of five pieces of black and white artwork from the earliest printing of the Little Golden Book edition, with illustrations by Disney animator Campbell Grant (1909 - 1992), who worked as a character designer on the 1940 film, as well as work on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fantasia. The superbly detailed art is in graphite and Conté crayon on paper, with image sizes ranging from 3" x 3" to 4.25" x 4". The images include Honest John and Gideon, Stromboli, Lampwick, and of course Pinocchio, who appears in all but one (that one is Lampwick, turned into a donkey). Beautiful images from this timeless Disney classic - wow! Art condition is Very Good, with minor handling and edge wear.
