    Description

Pinocchio Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). "Oh wait... here's an apple for your teacher!" says Geppetto as he sees Pinocchio off to school. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted Courvoisier production cel of Pinocchio with his apple for the teacher; this is right before he runs into Gideon and Foulfellow. An adorable 5" facial expression. The cel is trimmed to image and mounted to the Courvoisier wood veneer background. Pinocchio's shadow is hand-airbrushed on the wood veneer. This is in the original frame and the original mat; the script "Pinocchio" is written on the original cream-colored top mat, and the original Courvoisier paperwork is on back of original frame. This was originally sold at L Grieve -- Picture Frames at 970 Lexington Ave, New York City, New York. Fine condition.
