Pinocchio Geppetto Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1940). "You're alive! and you're a real boy! This calls for celebration!" Gepetto plays his accordion with joy during the happy ending of the 1940 masterpiece Pinocchio. Disney's second animated feature film, Pinocchio is widely regarded as one of the best cartoons ever made, perfecting the techniques and ambition learned from the ground-breaking Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This is an amazing hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel from the film, displayed over a custom background. Seen at the 1:25:59 mark, it is the very first frame of the shot. Original art of a very rare character in full figure, this piece is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 7" x 7" and an overall frame size of 19" x 19". The cel is trimmed to image and mounted to a sheet of acetate by the Walt Disney Art Props department, and it shows minor handling wear. The condition is Very Good, and the frame is sold as is.
