Description
Pinocchio Cleo the Goldfish Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). "My little water baby -- goodnight! Now go to sleep my little mermaid" says Geppetto to Cleo. This is an outstanding hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Cleo the goldfish sleeping in her underwater castle. Great hand-inked water effects cels are included. This is an original Courvoisier cel setup on an elaborate hand-painted Courvoisier background featuring her castle. Many of these backgrounds were painted for Courvoisier Galleries by Disney artists. The cream-colored mat is a Courvoisier original inscribed "Cleo". The character was so popular that she went on to star in a "Figaro and Cleo" theatrical short. Framed with a 7" x 7" mat opening.
