DescriptionPink Panther Production Cel Signed by Friz Freleng (DePatie-Freleng, c. 1970s). This popular character was originally created for the title sequences of the Blake Edwards' Pink Panther films starring Peter Sellers. Those entertaining title sequences were directed by legendary Warner Brothers director Friz Freleng, who later teamed up with producer David DePatie to form DePatie-Freleng Enterprises. The Pink Panther was the new studio's first hit character and became a staple of Saturday morning television, running from 1969 until the studio folded in 1981. This is an original hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of the Pink Panther. The 5" x 5" full-figure character is on a 12 field cel that has been signed by Friz Freleng (1906 – 1995). The art is in a 16.5" x 14" mat with an opening of 11.5" x 9. Very Good condition.
