    The Black Cauldron Mel Shaw Photograph Print Binder (Walt Disney, 1985). Mel Shaw (1914 - 2012) worked on Bambi, then left the studio during World War II. He returned to Disney in 1974 and worked in story and design for the next 20 years. His work can be seen in The Rescuers all the way up to The Lion King. He was a major contributor to the story and designer for The Black Cauldron. This is a Master Studio binder with eighty-seven 5" x 4" color photos of all of Mel Shaw's Story and Character Design paintings for this film. Brilliant artwork on page after page. Sections within this binder of Mel Shaw's work is broken down to "Story," "Characters," and "Miscellaneous." Photos are mounted to color-coordinated pages measuring 16" x 14". Most pages have six photos on each page; one has three. There are eighteen pages in total. An extremely nice record of Mel Shaw's brilliant and stunning artwork done for this film!
