Terrytoons/Paul Terry Publicity and Personal Photo Binder (Terrytoons, c. 1920s-50s). If anyone out there has ever had the slightest interest in Terrytoons Studios, this is a must-have lot! It's a 3-ring binder stuffed full of vintage 8" x 10" photos, going all the way back to the earliest days. There are tons of behind-the-scenes photos, featuring people like directors/animators Eddie Donnelly, Art Bartsch, Mannie Davis, and Frank Moser (who was a co-founder); background artists Anderson Craig and Bill Hilliker; musical director Phillip Scheib; writer Bob Kuwahara, and many others. There are in-studio shots, the outside of the building (including the famous Mighty Mouse painting on the side of the building that never really existed), shots of dignitaries and famous actors like Jimmy Durante, Charlie Chase, and Clair Trevor (the last two photos are signed), and more than we can list here. There are approximately 168 photo images and articles, including some clippings; many of the photos appeared in Terrytoons: The Story of Paul Terry by W. Gerald Hamonic (2018). Overall condition is Very Good.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
