Peter Pan Mermaid Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1953). The mermaids in this classic film have been called the "mean girls" of Disney and perhaps that's because they try to drown Wendy. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel setup of a showering mermaid at the very moment she notices Peter Pan approaching. It's a absolutely stunning image of the red-headed mermaid who measures 6" tall on a 16 field cel. A second effects cel containing the water is over her and the setup is over a print background for presentation purposes. Production art from this film is extraordinarily hard to come by and an exceptional cel setup like this is very rare. The piece is framed with a mat opening of 10.5" x 14.5" in a frame measuring 17" x 21". The cels show minor restoration and condition is Fine. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
