DescriptionPeter Pan Captain Hook and Mr. Smee Production Cel Setup on Pre-Production Master Background (Walt Disney, 1953). "Just relax, what you need is a shave, a nice soothing shave" says Mr. Smee to an agitated Captain Hook. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel setup of Mr. Smee and the Captain who together measure 8" x 5.5" on a 2-cel setup. Hook is on a full 16 field cel and Smee is on a slightly trimmed 16 field cel. Both cels are over a hand-painted preliminary background that is Key to this scene starting around the 25:00 mark. Disney feature film. It's a fantastic image from one of the truly funny scenes shared by this beloved duo in the film. Peter Pan was the last Disney film to utilize the animation skills of all the members of Walt's Nine Old Men. The one-of-a-kind setup is in a 19.5" x 17" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 11" x 8". It shows minor handling and condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
