Pete's Dragon Storyboard/Concept Drawing and Colored Print by Ken Anderson with Joe Hale Photo (Walt Disney, 1977). One of our favorite scenes in this delightful film involves Elliott and a bunch of apples he shares with Pete. Here's an original storyboard/concept drawing by Disney Legend Inductee Ken Anderson (1909 – 1993) of Elliott juggling apples. The art is in color pencils, crayon, and marker on studio storyboard paper measuring 7.5" x 5", with an image area of 6.75" x 4". It's affixed to a black paper backer measuring 11" x 8.5". Also included is a storyboard print of Pete at the apple tree by Mr. Anderson, that has been hand-colored with crayon or color pencils. It's nicely matted with an opening of 6.5" x 4.5", overall mat size 10" x 8". A black and white photo print of Joe Hale, who served as layout artist on this film, is included; Joe is standing by the tacked-up storyboards and scene photos. The print is signed by Mr. Hale, and measures 8" x 10". Art condition is Very Good.
