Pete's Dragon Elliott Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1977). Pete and his dragon Elliot have breakfast in an apple orchard near the beginning of this live action/animated musical comedy film by Disney. This is the first time we actually see Elliot as he posses the power of invisibility. Offered here is an original hand-painted production cel from the 10:57 mark when Elliot first materializes. The adorable 10" x 6" full-figure image is on a 16 field laminated cel bearing a Disney seal in the lower right and numbered 49. This movie was a mixture of animation and live action in the style of Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. As a result, there was much less animation art created for it that in fully animated feature. This popular ‘70s film was remade in 2016 and starred Robert Redford. The laminated cel has some rippling in areas, mostly along the right edge of the character and separation in the character's foot. Condition is Good.
