Pete's Dragon Elliott in the Rocks Layout Drawing with Photo Print and Storyboard Drawing (Walt Disney, 1977). This group showcases the talents of two Walt Disney Studios artists, layout man Joe Hale and character designer Ken Anderson (1909 – 1993). From Mr. Hale comes a magnificent layout drawing of Elliott as he sleeps in in his seaside cavern. The art is in graphite and Conté crayon on 16 field animation paper; the image of Elliott and the rocks he is laying on have been carefully cut out and mounted to cels, with a dark background photo added from behind. The drawing is matted with an opening of 14.5" x 9.5", and an overall mat size of 20" x 16". A vintage photo of Joe at his desk with the drawing in front of him is included. Also included is a storyboard drawing by Ken Anderson of this scene of the film, as Dr. Terminus and Hoagy approach Elliott; it's in graphite on paper measuring 7" x 5.5". Very Good overall condition.
