Pecos Pest Tom and Jerry Production Cel Setup with Master Painted Background (MGM, 1955). An original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel setup of Tom, Jerry, and Jerry's Uncle Pecos, from the 96th Tom and Jerry short, released on 11/11/55. The cels are trimmed to image and mounted to a trimmed hand-painted Tom and Jerry Master production background, for a very attractive studio setup. This short was directed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera; it was the last short to feature Fred Quimby's name as producer. From then on, Bill and Joe had that title. It looks like Uncle Pecos is practicing his song "Froggie Went a Courtin'" here! The background is trimmed to 12" x 10.5" for this studio gift setup. Character sizes are 2" to 5". Matted with an opening size of 12" x 10", in an overall mat size of 16" x 18.5". Very Good condition.
