Peanuts It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown Snoopy and Charlie Brown Production Cel Setup and Matching Animation Drawings (Bill Melendez, 1974). "We have a dispute to settle here Lucy. Perhaps you can help us solve the problem. It's a matter of ownership" says Charlie Brown to Lucy. Lucy turns a lever and her Psychiatric Advice booth is quickly turned into a "Court of Law Legal Aid" station. She returns wearing a Judge wig with Linus as her stenographer to hear the case. At this point, Snoopy returns at the "World Famous Attorney" with his bow tie and briefcase! Here is a great hand-painted production cel setup of Charlie Brown and Snoopy in his attorney role in front of Lucy's "Legal Aid" booth (fee is seven cents). This is a very rare cel of Snoopy as the "World Famous Attorney." He first appeared in this role in a Schulz strip in 1/12/72. The 2-cel setup comes from the 11th Charlie Brown Peanuts television special, which premiered on CBS on 2/1/74, 45 years ago! The setup is on a print background for presentation purposes. Top cel has a studio seal; production cels and matching animation drawings are in one common Plexiglas-front frame of 32.5" x 13.5". Mat openings are 12" x 8" for the cel setup, with each drawing in an opening of 6" x 7". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good.
