    Description

Past Perfumance Layout Concept Art Signed by Maurice Noble (Warner Brothers, 1955). I am looking for you!" says Pepe Le Pew as he searches for Penelope Kitty in this Chuck Jones-directed short. This short was written by Mike Maltese and takes place in Paris, on a 1913 movie set of the Three Musketeers. A cat named Penelope is made to look like a skunk for the film and Pepe naturally falls madly in love with her. This is an exquisite Maurice Nobel background Color Key/concept painting of the "Marie-Go-Round". The final production background from this reference painting can be seen at the 4:44 mark. It is marked BG Sc.39 along the top border and signed by the artist Maurice Noble (1911-2001) in the bottom right corner. It is painted in gouache, measures 4" x 6" and is framed and matted under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 9" x 11", in a 15" x 17" frame. A remarkable piece of art by one of animation's greats. Frame is sold as-is and the condition of the artwork is Very Good.
