Three Blind Mouseketeers Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). "We're the Three Blind Mouseketeers, Hey! The Three Blind Mouseketeers!" sing the heroes of the Silly Symphony directed by David Hand and released into theaters on 9/26/1936. Presented is an original hand-painted preliminary background from the opening scene of this delightful mash-up of the nursery rhyme Three Blind Mice and the novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. Using the round brush in the center as a stage, the mice sing their title song. It's expertly rendered in gouache on 12 field 5-peghole background paper and very little changed from this design and the final. This one-of-a-kind image predates the release of Snow White by a year and serves as an excellent example of the level of artistry that went into these early theatrical shorts. Minor handling and condition is Very Good.
