The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Painted Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1968). This NBC-TV Prime Time weekly series was the first to combine live action with animation. It premiered on Sunday night, 9/15/68. This is a rare Paul Julian 12 field hand-painted production background of what appears to be ruins of an Aztec city ("Son of the Sun" episode #16 featured an Aztec plotline); however, we believe this to be an early H-B proposal image, with different actors than series stars Michael Shea and LuAnn Haslam. A trimmed-to-image photo of the two children as Huck and Becky is attached to the background. Images are 6". Background is 10.5" x 13.5", with an outlined cel overlay. Very Good condition.
