    The Lion King Forest Background Color Keys Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1994). The 1994 landmark animated feature film The Lion King had a limited release in North America, playing in only two theaters, El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Academy Award and Golden Globe winning film will be turned into a live-action feature film in July of 2019; twenty-five years after the release of the original animated version. The film will be directed by John Favreau. The original animated film used hand-painted production backgrounds. Here is a pair of rare background Color Keys of the forest. These incredibly detailed works of art were created using gouache on board; one piece measures 8.5" x 4.5" while the other is 6" x 4". Tape along borders and minor handling wear; otherwise, Fine condition.
