Super Friends Painted Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). This is an original hand-painted production background from the third season of Hanna-Barbera's Super Friends. The episode is titled "Wanted: The Super Friends" and this artwork can be seen at the 2:35 minute mark. This would have originally had a cel of the glowing ring circling the globe on top of the Daily Planet building. The painting is gouache on a 10.5" x 13.5", 3-peghole board with production numbers along the bottom and a clear cel over it. This is an incredibly rare, one-of-a-kind piece of artwork of an iconic image from a classic superhero cartoon show. On back is written 128 stock which is an indication that it may appear in several Super Friends episodes. The piece shows some minor handling wear; otherwise, condition is Fine.
