DescriptionRaiding the Raiders Painted Backgrounds Original Art Group of 2 (Terrytoons, 1945). In this Mighty Mouse short, released on 3/9/45 and directed by Connie Rasinski, our hero must save a newly-born bunny from the clutches of a hungry buzzard. Here are two typically beautiful hand-painted 12 field 3-peghole production backgrounds from this cartoon. They are painted in gouache on skimmed illustration board; IMDb credits background art to Anderson Craig and Bill Hilliker. The first, noted as 8 in the upper peghole margin, is the top of the hollow tree the rabbit family lives in; a stork drops a bundle down this hole at the :57 mark. The second, noted as Sc 12 in the upper left, is the interior of the tree home, and is seen at the 1:24 mark as old Doc Owl arrives to "deliver" the baby bunnies. Very minor handling and edge wear, with a small amount of black tape residue on the corners; Very Good to Fine condition.
