    Description

Piker's Peak Painted Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1957). Original 12 field production background of the band shell in the Bavarian village. This is from the Friz Freleng-directed short that starred Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny as mountain climbers, competing to see who can climb the Schmatterhorn first. The short was written by Warren Foster and released on 5/25/57. The backgrounds were painted by Irv Wyner. He left in the middle of this production and Boris Gorelick replaced him. There is slight variation to surrounding buildings around the band shell, so this may have been replaced under camera. The 13" x 10" background top border reads Sc 7 39-43. Tape residue in corners, otherwise Fine condition.
