Description

Peter Pan Tree House Interior Painted Master Background (Walt Disney, 1953). "Wendy Bird?" Outstanding hand-painted production background of the inside of the tree house, where Peter Pan lives with the Lost Boys. Backgrounds on this film were painted by Ralph Hulett, Ray Huffine, Art Riley, Thelma Witmer, Al Dempster, Don Griffith, Dick Anthony, Eyvind Earle, Brice Mack, and Art Landy. What an array of talent! This background is seen when the Lost Boys (Foxy, Rabbit, Raccoon Twins, Skunk, and Cubby) are fighting inside. This is right before Tinker Bell arrives to tell them to go shoot down the Wendy Bird. Background is painted with gouache on light 16 field background board, trimmed to 12" x 15.5" and mounted to a backing board. Bottom border has the notation Film 2074/Seq.12/sc33 with words "Boys Fighting." This is a stunning painting, with great detail. A screen grab photocopy of the actual scene in the movie is included. Backgrounds from this classic film are very hard to find. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
