    Description

Night Painted Production Background (Walt Disney, 1930). A full moon over the mill pond inspires a nighttime dance of all the bugs by the water. This was the 12th Silly Symphony short to be released and was directed by Walt Disney himself; it was released on 7/31/30. This is a rare hand-painted black and white production background from this short, and it can be seen at the 2:41 mark, when the burning bug puts out his fire by sitting in the pond. Gouache on a 12 field 2-peghole background sheet. "Scene 4", "Last Part", and "Nite" are written in the bottom margin. A singular piece of early Walt Disney history, in Fine condition.
