Goldilocks and the Three Bears Original Production Background (MGM, 1939). "Once upon a time, long long ago, in the heart of a big beautiful green forest, far far away, there lived three bears. They were all snug in a cozy house, all their very own." This is how this Hugh Harmon cartoon begins. Goldilocks and the Three Bears was released on 7/15/39. In this lot we have a rare pan trimmed production/pre-production background of the bowls from the table where the bears realize someone has been eating their dinner. The red striped bowls are shown in the opening title credits. John Meador is credited with backgrounds on this elaborate short. The background has the top left corner trimmed away. The bottom right corner is missing the bottom peg border and has three rips in bottom right of background. The pan background is a nice large piece of 22" x 13". The stairs and dinner table and bowls are all intact. The missing pieces can be matted away. A very rare piece of Hugh Harmon and MGM animation history. Condition is Fair.Auction Info
