DescriptionEgyptian Melodies Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1931). An outstanding hand-painted production background. This piece comes from the Wilfred Jackson-directed Silly Symphonies short, "Egyptian Melodies," released on 8/21/31. This is the door at the base of the Sphinx, where a long-legged spider enters. It can be seen at about the 0:37 mark into the short. Notes on bottom border read "Scene #2." The painting is on 12 field 2-peghole lightweight board. Beautiful painting, with the spider's web prominent on the left. In Fine condition.
