Description
Charlotte's Web Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1973). This is an original one-of-a-kind hand-painted production background of the Arable family kitchen complete with old-timey telephone. This exact background does not appear in the film and may have been edited from final production, but a similar example appears at the 13:25 mark. It is painted in gouache on 14" x 10.5" watercolor background paper. Production numbers 94-7 and SEQ-3 BG-130 are very lightly handwritten along the lower border near the pegholes. This is a detailed and brightly colored painting from an enduring family favorite film, based on the popular children's book by E. B. White. The addition of a cel from this production would easily turn this amazing background into a Master setup. Minor edge wear, handling, pinholes and a small piece has been torn away near the pegholes.
