DescriptionAt the Circus Production Background Art Group of 2 (Terrytoons, 1944). "One day, the circus came to town, and what a wonderful circus it was" says the radio announcer as a group of mice gather around to hear the story of Mighty Mouse at the circus. Here are two fantastic hand-painted 12 field production backgrounds from this Eddie Donnelly-directed short, released to theaters on 11/17/44. The first, noted as 15, can be seen at the 1:45 mark, inside the lion's cage. The next is noted as 59, and shows the old fashioned radio the mice are listening to. This comes at the end of the short, at the 5:30 mark. Both are painted in gouache/watercolor, with airbrushed highlights. Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear.
