Sandy Claws Production Background Signed by Irv Wyner (Warner Brothers, 1955). From the 1955 Looney Tunes cartoon Sandy Claws, we offer in this lot a fantastic hand-painted production background, signed by the renowned artist Irv Wyner (1904 - 2002), perfect to complete a production cel setup! This Friz Freleng-directed short saw Sylvester trying to catch Tweety while on a trip to the beach. Rendered in gouache on a 12-field background board, the fantastic background shows the area underneath the dock that appears approximately at the 5:55 mark of the short. Wyner's signature is visible on the bottom left corner, and the top edge shows the production notes "SC 62 #1331." The peghole area is pasted to the top edge. Pinholes are present on the top corners of the background. With light handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
