Description

Batman: The Animated Series "Mad Love" Arkham Asylum Key Master Setup (Warner Brothers, 1999). "I must admit, I was surprised you wanted to intern here at Arkham." "Well, I've always had an attraction to extreme personalities." Presented in this lot is a beautiful and menacing 16 field Key Master Setup of Arkham Asylum from the series finale of Batman: The Animated Series "Mad Love". The episode aired on 1/16/1999 and was the end of an era, adapting the one-shot comic book of the same name. It was written by the same writers of the episode, Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, and delved into Harley Quinn's backstory. It primarily took place at Arkham Asylum, Gotham's sanitorium and prison for the criminally insane, where psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel fell in love with her patient the Joker. The Key Master Setup in this lot is a fantastic look at the Asylum from afar and you can find it at about 7:20 in the episode as Harleen returns to Arkham to confront the Joker about the flower he left in her office. The setup consists of a 16 field cel, a 16 field gouache and airbrush on board background, and a trimmed and attached overlay. Each has been attached with tape at the edges and the background is numbered 67 at the top edge. A must-have for fans of Gotham's intriguing villains, the lot comes with a Warner Brothers COA and is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint debris.
