Original Production Background Made for a Donald Duck and Pluto Episode (Walt Disney, c.1930). On display in this lot is a unique hand painted background likely from the Disney studios. This unique hand painted background possibly comes from an unused shot during the production of the short Donald and Pluto (1936). The soft lime green is a near match for the home setting in the film, along with the soft watercolor styling and graphite line rendering. To lend to the mystery behind this piece written on the back of the page Donald, Pluto, and the numbers 3683 (upside-down). Trimmed to 11" x 8.5" this piece would make for an amazing display for collection of cels that need a background to present on. With moderate edgewear from where it was trimmed and handling. The painting's surface has gracefully aged with only slight paint loss to page texture. In Good condition.Auction Info
