(George Hinke, 1950) George Hinke (1883-1953) was a German-born painter who came to the United States in 1923. After working in a printing shop, he eventually opened his own studio. This image was first published by the magazine to accompany the story Jolly Old Santa Claus in 1961 and has been reprinted numerous times in book form, as well as on collector plates and calendars. Accomplished in oil on  25.5 x 15.75 in. artists' board. In fine condition. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
