    Description

Nifty Nineties Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1941). Extremely rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Mickey and Minnie in their 1890s-style runabout. This is from the Riley Thomson-directed short that was released on 6/40/41. The cel is on a beautiful hand-painted Courvoisier background, and is from the scene where they leave the vaudeville show that starred Fred and Ward, Two Clever Boys from Illinois (animators Fred Moore and Ward Kimball as song and dance cartoon characters). You can see this cel around the 6:13 mark into the short. Production art from this short that gave Mickey a distinct style is very desirable and quite hard to find. The cel is matted with an opening of 7" x 6", with an image area 2.5" tall. Framed with Plexiglas. Fine condition.
