My Little Pony: Escape from Catrina Background Color Key Paintings Group of 3 (Hasbro/Marvel, 1985). "My little pony, my little pony - have your dreams been coming true?" This story of evil feline witch Catrina (changed to "Katrina" when the special was re-edited for the series finale) was the second of two specials aired before the series began. Here are three great hand-painted background Color Keys created during production; background artists on the special included Bob Kline, Lonnie Lloyd, Bob Smith, Martin Strudler, and Dennis Venizelos. All of the Color Key paintings are from the interior of Catrina's underground castle; the first, of Catrina's throne, has an image size of approximately 9.5" x 5.5" on illustration board measuring 12.5" x 8.5". The second painting is a close-up of Catrina's lab equipment, with an image size of 7.5" x 5.5" on board measuring 10.5" x 8.5". The third piece is an excellent image of the well with green Witch weed water; it has an image size of 7.5" x 5.5" on board measuring 10.5" x 8.5". All three are painted with gouache. Condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear.Auction Info
